Hyperpigmentation: 7 Kitchen Tricks to Get Rid of Dark Spots

Method- Take red onion slice and rub it properly on the troubled area or you can grate the onion as well to make juice. Apply at least twice a day for better results.

#Trick 3. Yoghurt

The lactic acid present in the yoghurt slows down melanocytes growth, thus, offering a reliable cure to remove pigmentation.

Method- Apply a tablespoon of full fat yoghurt on the affected region and wait for 15-20 minutes. After that, rinse it off with lukewarm water.

#Trick 4. Lemon Juice

The combo of lemon juice and honey acts as a perfect bleaching agent which lightens pigmentation of the skin.

Method- Add a few drops of honey to lemon juice and apply the mixture to the dark spots. Leave it for 15-20 minutes and wash it off with lukewarm water. Try it at least twice a day.

Its fragrance is mesmerizing but apart from that, it is a good blood purifier too which reduces dark spots.

Method- Make a paste by mixing sandalwood powder and rose water. Apply it on the affected region and leave it for around 30 minutes. After that, rinse it well with lukewarm water. Try this method three times a week.

Tomato is famous for skin lightening and removing tanning as well. It is one of the best bleaching agents so far.

Method- Take a slice of tomato and rub it properly on the affected skin part. Wait for some minute and then wash it off. Try this process once in a day.

Papaya is ideal for treating hyperpigmentation for it promotes cell growth and removes dead skin cells.

Method- Prepare a mixture of papaya pulp, honey, and milk. Apply the paste on dark spots. Leave it for 30 minutes. Wash it with lukewarm water.
